So with just a beer, steel knuckles hit for a tremendous 41 damage for 7 stamina compare that to the 46 damage of a steel club for 28 stamina. Moonshine is a bit too expensive to constantly drink, but beer it basically free with farms. Next, knuckle damage is boosted by both beer and moonshine to the tune of 300% and 400% damage boosts.
That one saved slot probably isn't a huge deal, especially if you then have to fill it with beer, still, feels like it's worth mentioning. I'll go into more detail on why fists are numerically powerful below, but ultimately, you'll do better if you use a weapon that you enjoy using and if you're doing better the weapon will seem better to you which is all that matters - so use what you like, if that's knives then go for it!įirst, steel knuckles double as a harvesting tool, meaning you don't need to pack a knife and thus save an inventory slot.
Fists are super underrated but are likely the strongest melee weapon in the game.
